I Miss...

May 15, 2020

... this view.

I miss travelling actually, walking around the airport to catch flights.
I miss sitting by the window and watch the beautiful scenery from the top.
I miss the feeling to pass the security control and to have another stamp on my passport.

:)

I was actually planning to have a trip back to Czech after completing my housemanship hehe :D. Usually, after housemanship, we are allowed to use the remaining annual leaves and take a long holiday up to 27 days (if I am not mistaken). But my husband was still working at that time, so I decided to wait for him first to go later together. I went to the office to inform that I would be starting my floating (junior medical officer) soon.

Due to Covid19 outbreak, my friends who decided to take that long holidays were called to start working and our leaves were apparently have been frozen since March.

Ouch.

And I think travelling abroad is going to be tricky after this pandemic, right?
Maybe travelers need to provide supporting documents, health reports - new norms maybe?

Dancing Building, Prague

September 17, 2016

The name of this building is Tan?ící d?m, in English, it can be called as Dancing House. But, people used to refer it as Dancing Building. :)

If you come to Prague, you will realise how authentic and classical the buildings are. The city preserves almost all old and historic architectures - that make Prague to be awesome and interesting. However, you can still expect modern buildings here and there, but they will not make the city weird.

The position and style, are just...nice.

Dancing Building, Prague

I haven't been up there, but it is said that you can take a rest at the cafe while enjoying the panoramic view from top of it. Of course, with a fee - about 100kc maybe. I prefer free panoramic view from Petrin Hill though. :) Hehe

Anyway, from the picture above, you can actually see a couple dancing together.

Use your imagination and please comment which one do you think is the man and which one is the woman :)

Oh yea, the nearest tram stop is Jiráskovo náměstí, reachable by tram 5 & 17. Meanwhile if you want to go here by metro, take Metro B (Yellow) and stop at Karlovo náměstí station. Otherwise, just walk from anywhere you are. Haha.

Self Diagnosis and It Turned Out Right

September 16, 2016

Self-diagnose can be an illness and it can lead to hypochondria (worry about having a serious illness).

Actually, if you asked any medical students including me, we tend to be like this every single time we learn something new. Every common symptoms might be a clue to cancer. Every heart palpitation (due to exam stress etc) might be heart problems.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Hmmm.

And I just self-diagnosed myself 2 days ago. Unfortunately, it turned out to be real. Ouch.

Entahlah nak rasa gembira sebab berjaya diagnose based on symptoms...
... ataupun rasa nervous sebab diagnosis tu betul.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

This is not a life-threatening condition, alhamdulillah. But, it affects my daily life since the symptoms appear. T_T

My symptoms?

I felt that my left hand to be a bit numb (kebas) on Wednesday afternoon. Oh, I just thought I slept in a wrong position. But, the tingling sensation does not go away since then. Dalam Melayu, orang panggil kesemutan / semut-semut haha how to describe this lah?

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
GP room.

I don't want to wait any longer, I decided to meet the general practitioner (GP). GP is like a first-line doctor if you want to get treatment. In Czech, everybody is assigned to their own GP and it will be for life-time unless you want to change it due to many factors (if you move to another city, if you are not satisfied with the GP etc). So, basically international students have our own GP, provided by the hospital university.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Neurology Clinic.

After explaining my condition and few physical examinations, the GP wrote a reference letter. I was referred to Neurology Department for further check-up. The doctor in charged for Neurology Out-patient was my Anatomy teacher, so alhamdulillah I can expect English conversations. The GP speaks English as well, no worries :)

A thing that was similar when I did the physical examination was, both doctors asked me 'So, what do you think it is?', 'Do you know what is the diagnosis?'

Hoho.

Of course I have a diagnosis in my mind.

And from the physical examinations, the diagnosis turned out to be real.

How is carpal tunnel syndrome diagnosed?

Basically, there are at least two physical exams that can show positive signs.

Image result for carpal tunnel syndrome test
Credit - Google
Tinel's sign - the doctor will tap on the wrist and it can cause tingling and numbness on the hand spreading to the fingers (except the 5th finger).

Image result for carpal tunnel syndrome test
Credit - Google
Phalen's sign - just do the position of hand like in the picture above for 60 seconds. You will feel tingling and numbness as well.

In my case, I have constant tingling and numbness. But, the numbness and tingling sensation worsened with these tests. T_T

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Flector (NSAID), triamcinolon (CS), Milgamma (Vit. B), Aescin (anti-inflammatory as well)

Medications bought. Now, waiting for next check-up - electromyogram (EMG), to see if the muscles are affected or not. Pray hard it will not be that serious :)

Pray for my exam in 10 days as well :) heee.

5 Things I Learned About Happiness

September 15, 2016

(removed / transferred from hanisnina.com)

Being happy.

It is a very vague statement that sometimes we cannot confirm we are feeling happy or not. Happiness cannot be judged by a smile of someone's face - as some of us even cry in happiness, right?

5 Things I Learned About Happiness
With age come increased wisdom and emotional intelligence.

With age comes increased wisdom and emotional intelligence. - WebMD

As a teenager, I must say that this is the age of exploring all adventures in the world, anything that can be done, any places that we can reach, any people who we would like to be close to. We have the adrenaline rush to do new things. Our problem is one - money. Not living for a long time yet, we don't have a solid source of income that stop us from fulfilling our desires.

Yes, that's why based on survey, when people pass middle age, they will be happier and less stressed about life. To be specific, people above 50 years old. Well, older people have more experiences with life that they managed to control their emotion in the way it should be. They don't have to worry more on how to improve life status as they have been in the situation before.

Music helps us to be happy.

Listening to songs or any musics can improve happiness as they help the brain to release dopamine. I just knew this while doing this quiz. :) From what I know, dopamine helps in reward system in our brain. What does it mean?

Reward system is how we can stay motivated. The feeling when we achieve success after we put our efforts on some difficult works with many hardships . I'm sure you can imagine how happy we will be.

Boost happiness by feeling grateful.

When we do something by feeling grateful with we have been given, we can be more happy. Just like when you love someone, you are grateful to have known him / her - you tend to do anything for the sake of him / her.

I can relate this to feeling grateful to God. I know it is easier to be said than done. But, I try to reflect myself. If I am willing with my heart to do things for the sake of God, just because I love Him and not because that something is just my duty - it must be a happier feeling, right?

5 Things I Learned About Happiness
They are just a lot.

He gives me things I need in life, though. :)

Money and intelligence cannot buy happiness.

But, I do agree that sometimes happiness need money.

People who are happy don't really find life as a race to survive. They are more optimistic in everything they meet each day and will turn it into opportunity that they will grab onto.  They don't really have enemies and people feel comfortable to be with them.

I'm really not in this group. But, one thing that I learn and have try applying it in my life - forgive people.

"Happiness is not the absence of sadness," - David Spiegel

God give us heart and feeling for us to feel different kinds of feeling. That is a normal thing about human. So, don't feel stressed out if we are not happy all the time.

Be idealistically right. We can't be happy all the time. Our life is like a wheel, sometimes we can be on top and sometimes at the bottom. Well, I can say that, being sad can also boost ourselves to improve more to achieve happiness.

Just, don't let sadness become powerful over your life. It should be only temporary, and please, MOVE ON.

Be not sad, Allah is with us. - Quran, 9;40

--------

This post is inspired by a quiz from WebMD. There are few points that I learned from the quiz. And I have related them with my life. So, why not sharing them here?

Knowledge is to be shared, right? :)

While Waiting for Connecting Flight in Frankfurt, Germany

September 13, 2016

After having a 'bad' journey from Hradec Kralove to Prague, alhamdulillah I was still able to arrive at the airport safely :) Dari I. P. Pavlova, Prague, terus naik direct night bus (Bus 510) ke Prague Airport. Bas ni ada setiap 20-30 minit macam tu. Perjalanan ke airport ambil masa lebih kurang 45 minit.

Sampai Terminal 2 nak dekat pukul 3 pagi.
Boarding pukul 5.30 pagi.

Kalau route Prague - Dubai, Istanbul, Doha etc - flights akan take off / landing kat Terminal 1 (T1) tau. Terminal 2 (T2) pulak lebih kepada Schengen countries macam Spain, Germany etc. UK pulak depends pada airlines mana, ada yang T1, ada yang T2.

While Waiting for Connecting Flight in Frankfurt, Germany
Lufthansa LH 1403 Prague - Frankfurt

Saya takde beg nak check in, so, terus je beratur untuk passport control, kastam. Padahal gate pun tak bukak lagi. Dan nampak sangat tak selalu travel sekitar Eropah dengan flight, saya blur kejap kat Terminal 2 tu. Haha. Takpe, bukan nak buat apa pun kat luar tu, baik masuk siap-siap. Cuma bila tak tahu gate kat mana, memang bertanggak depan skrin announcement tu je lah. T_T Nak terlelap pun tak sempat.

My boarding motto;Be the first 10 persons to get on board. Haha

Fuhhh, nak ambik balik beg saya tu pulak haruslah tunggu plane tu clear. Terus jadi antara orang last keluar plane. T_T

First time bawak backpack as cabin luggage. Walaupun Lufthansa tak check pun berat backpack, saya masih make sure dalam range 7-8kg. Siap bawak Kek Medovnik sekilo nak bagi budak-budak kat Scotland tu rasa. :D

While Waiting for Connecting Flight in Frankfurt, Germany
Czech's land.

Czech sangat cantik dari atas. Saya expect kalau dapat naik flight masa musim spring, mesti bertambah-tambah cantik. Mesti nampak kuning keemasan dek ladang rapeseed. :)

Walaupun perjalanan ni dalam sejam je, sempat jugak lena. Terbangun pun sebab stewardess nak bagi in-flight meal - sponge vanilla cake.

While Waiting for Connecting Flight in Frankfurt, Germany
Vanilla cake.

How the flight looks like.

Dan dalam 7.15am, selamat mendarat di Frankfurt, Germany. Last time jejak airport ni 2011 - kali pertama ke Czech. Masa tu naik MAS dari KLIA sampai Frankfurt, sambung Lufthansa ke Prague. Tapi hujung tahun lepas masa melawat Aisya kat Bingen, ada lalu kawasan airport ni.

While Waiting for Connecting Flight in Frankfurt, Germany
Frankfurt Airport is quite close to the city center, I think.

Sambil charge phone, sambil tidur.

I wonder why I haven't bought the powerbank. T_T

Baru 10 minit terlena, tiba-tiba ada 2 pegawai polis kejut saya. Aiseh, kacau. Mungkin faktor saya seorang je bertudung kat situ. Lepas saya, takde pun dia check orang lain. Hmphhhh

Miss, may I check your passport please? And your boarding pass as well.

Saya memang biasa tunjuk terus biomatric card kat Czech. Sebab dah boleh agak soalan dia, "awak masuk Europe ni dari mana?", "buat apa kat Czech?", "berapa lama nak travel keluar?" yada yada.

While Waiting for Connecting Flight in Frankfurt, Germany
Backpack for 5 days - the same backpack for Slovenia trip last time.

Walaupun diorang kacau tidur saya, ada faedahnya. Nombor gate saya dah keluar dah. Polis-polis tu suggest saya terus tunggu kat gate. Dah kenapa? Awal lagi kot.

Rupa-rupanya kena pass through passport control jugak (pelik sebab nak transit je pun). Dan passport control tu queue dia memang panjang. Haha.

Dah camne nak tidur?

Nanti-nantilah.

Blessing in Disguise

September 12, 2016

Honestly, this is a long self reflection. :)

It's Eid Adha today. Yeay, although I am not in Malaysia, today is a day celebrated by Muslim all over the world, of course in Czech as well. I am not sure if this is my last Eid Adha here, so, lets record memories on it.

Blessing in Disguise
Flying over Brno, Czech.

Sacrifices.

That's what Eid Adha is about. Bukan sekadar korbankan binatang ternakan dan makan atau sedekah pada orang lain, it's way beyond that. Sacrifices within ourselves.

I still remember a good point in the book The Other Side of The Coin. The preface itself carries many reflections to me. The coin has 2 sides and usually different values of coins have different sides. It means, there at least 2 ways to view the coin, let along the rest of coins with other values. The point is, we need to view life in variety of perspectives. That's what Aiman Azlan is saying.

Alhamdulillah, I told you before that I've learned so much during last summer break. About life. Everything was far beyond my expectation of how my summer break would be. It was totally not going as what I planned. But, there was something in it.

Blessing in Disguise
Hospitals

My brother was admitted to the hospital for 33 days. At least 3 different hospitals, transferred in between. Even though I am a medical student, haha I know it's not a good value for me, but I had no idea that I would be in the hospitals for at least half of holidays. Seriously. But, Allah's plan was beautiful enough to be grateful with.

1. I was playing (maybe) an important role not only as a medical student, but as a daughter, a younger sister, a cousin, a niece, an aunt etc. Basically, I spent most of the time with my family.

Before the incident, I was already checking few flight tickets for Asia trips, have a schedule everyday here and there, plans everywhere. I just could not ignore the adventure inside of me. But, since the hospitalization, I realised I was not being a good daughter. I was not at home for at least half of my age. I was just not with them, physically, for most of my life. I just feel like, the incident was the moment Allah wanted me to cover up all the time that I should have spent with them.

I am actually relieved this happened when I was at home. Like, I could not imagine my mum need to drive at midnight to Ipoh, alone. She can do it, I believe. But, parents are getting older, they are getting tired and sleepy easily.

Blessing in Disguise
Had chance to watch football match with my cousins, aunt, uncle.

Guess what, within the 33 days, I had many chances to meet family members whom I haven't meet for ages!

2. I learned more about hospitals in Malaysia, the system, the working experience.

Maybe not much from health workers' points of view, but this time as a family member.

I do love how the doctors, nurses care so much for the patients. It is a bit different than in Czech. Both are good, no worries. A scenario that is not common in Czech but yes in Malaysia, at least one family member is allowed to stay with the patient - which is good as long as the family member do not interrupt the doctors' and nurses' work (in a bad way).

There are many big wards in hospitals in Malaysia - you can simply see a lot of patients with basically different stories. But, in Czech, there are en suite rooms (room with a bathroom + toilet) with 2-4 patients in each of them. So, the patient's room is the only place where family members can linger around. And I have never seen so many visitors in Czech compared to Malaysia - in which this has the pros and cons. Haha.

Blessing in Disguise
I'm not sure if Czech hospitals have this system. :) Will find out soon.

Maybe I should stop here, the systems are a bit different, working life is different as well. Maybe I will describe more when I start to work later. I will keep the points I have now as draft for a while.

3. I did my revision.

Haha, studying during the holidays is a hard thing to do. Maybe that was my style when I was younger. But, I am not sure it's a good change or not, but growing up, I feel like I have more things to think and care about other than academic books. Not to say education is not important, but it is how we see the education itself.

Friendship, relationship, human beings.

To see the world and watch people, these activities can educate ourselves as well, I'm telling you.

Back to the revision. So, I basically need to recall, check my notes online and offline to figure out why the doctors do like this and that. Why this medications and why not that. I read again about few procedures to understand better and try to simplify into Malay words to explain to my family. Explaining medical terms are not easy unless we understand it. I found that to give examples from life were helpful. For example, in high blood pressure, most of the time it is because cholesterol plaque has built up within the wall of vessels. This makes the lumen becomes smaller and the pressure of blood flowing increases.

Same goes to the water rubber pipe that we use to wash cars. People tend to close half of the pipe with their thumbs, right? Because they want a faster flow of water. That's it - smaller area, higher pressure.

4. I had memorable days with many new people in my life.

Still remember how many times I've shared about an aunt whom I met at the mosque beside Hospital Ipoh? You can check the post HERE. She always share something with me and my mum. We were like regular people at the mosque during that time. Sometimes, we eat together, listen to tazkirah together, take wudu'  as well. She is a very nice lady.

I didn't have the chance to properly say goodbye to her. InsyAllah I will keep praying she will be in good condition.

Meanwhile, I've met 2 awesome Instagrammers, Kak Mulan and Ramadhan. We have contacting each other for a while. For Eid Fitri, we even planned for an 'open house'. And I was the one who cancel it. I don't realise when actually we get closer (maybe not yet close haha). But other than my family and good friends (I'm sure you know who you are :D), these guys were taking a good part within the stressful moments. They were not there with me physically, but sudden Whatsapp messages sometimes, made my day. With good advice, good comfort, good lame jokes. Thanks guys.

And the funny thing was, our first meeting was at Hospital Serdang. Haha. I am glad that the meeting was not awkward, alhamdulillah. I am a quiet person, actually. :D

Blessing in Disguise
Ramadhan, Kak Mulan and me.

5. It's true that when you are busy, you manage your time better.

Since our life rotated between the hospital and the house, quite few tasks get postponed and delayed. There were few things I need to do within the working hours - to renew my license, to replace old Maybank ATM card, bank transaction yada yada. It was hard to find time to do alone, but alhamdulillah everything went well. I can't burden my parents with these small things.

I'm thankful that at least my parents believe I can survived on my own. I really understand they have many things to think about especially school (UPSR was just around the corner at that time). I respect them for how hard they tried to work in their best conditions despite being tired travelling back and forth.

--------------------------------------

Okayy, that's all about my reflection on this day. :D

We encounter something new everyday. Each day will never be the same. And that makes our life more beautiful and meaningful :) All in all, my summer break was beautiful, in a different way. Alhamdulillah.

Salam Eid Adha, everyone.

Black & White?

September 10, 2016

Life is colorful. :)
Nope, the life is colorful. :)

This time, it will be a short post. I'm recovering from post-hiking muscle pain.

It felt good to be outside again, surrounded by tall trees, wind blow, sunshine and friends. Nature provides the negative ions - which has at least four benefits. It was amazing as well to walk between 2 countries; Czech and Poland, and meet elderly who hike with us as well. Gonna do this again. InsyAllah.

Typical Elevators in Czech

September 9, 2016

Elevators simply mean lifts.

I think Malaysians prefer the word lifts, compared to elevators right? This topic may have few parts (I can't promise this though haha) because Czech's elevators are a bit unique!

There is no 'door close' button.

Seriously, I'm not kidding you. The buttons available are only like this. There is a rumor (maybe a fact I don't know) that the 'door close' button has no function actually. But, I think 'door close' button helps closing the elevators' door faster.

Typical Elevators in Czech
Elevator in the hospital

And this is another example of Czech's unique elevators. It is still exist and working!

What do you think?

The Best of People

There is a vlogger who I have my respect on and I'm looking forward to witness his contributions to the society.

Aiman Azlan.

Currently, I am really into his works. Maybe because of his daily YouTube videos that are inspiring and mind-opening. So far, he simply shared a lot of common topics that are actually serious if we try to dig deeper.

Procrastination.
Burnt out.
Confidence.
Consistency.

etc.

the other side of the coin
Currently reading..

And even now, I am still on my way reading his book 'The Other Side of The Coin'. I heard that some people can finish reading it within a day, but not for me. I love this kind of book, as I have the chance to relate many things to my situations and try to see how other people think about the problems and solve them.

The best of people are those who are most beneficial to the society. - TOSOFC

I can agree that he is one of them. :)

Thanks for all the stories that you shared with the subscribers.

When I read those verses, I keep on thinking have I done anything good to the society? Have I contribute anything with the other people? It's hard to say, it's even hard to justify. Hopefully I did something, at least as a daughter, a friend and a student.

And hopefully, this blog is one of the medium. Ameen.

Anyway, I would like to promote this fundraising by a good friend of mine. She was my senior, graduated as a doctor from a university in Olomouc, Czech. And I think many people know her already, from her awesome Instagram and Facebook timelines, with beautiful travelling pictures. But, she is now going beyond that. Other than volunteering in a refugee camp somewhere in Greece few months ago, now she is looking forward for another one.

All the details are in the link below. :)

Let's help the world :)

The Journey of A Risk-Taker to Scotland

September 7, 2016

Well, Scotland was a last-minute plan. Again. Solo. Again. T__T

I bought the ticket on 14th June to fly on 16th June. Niat nak ke Scotland ialah untuk rasa Ramadhan dekat negara lain sambil berkunjung jumpa kawan sambil berpost-exam rehat.

The Journey of A Risk-Taker to Scotland
After a tough night.

The journey from Hradec Kralove (HK) to Prague Airport was...just wow.

It was a night that I think I totally risked my life to variables. It was not okay and I really didn't expect that. But, alhamdulillah, Allah helped me a lot. I learned very important life lessons throughout the incident.

To be a risk-taker maybe a choice and I think I am one of the risk-takers. But, it is not a good thing all the time. It simply means - you exposed yourself to risks and dangers. Then you need to try hard to sort out the situation, try to get out of the challenge and pray for the good outcomes.

The Journey of A Risk-Taker to Scotland
The boarding pass.

My flight was at 6 am (Thursday) and I planned to take a train about 7 pm (Wednesday). This one was the second last direct train from Hradec Kralove to Prague. Unfortunately....I overslept. Masa ni bulan puasa dan memang biasanya by pukul 5, 6 petang tu dah exhausted menunggu jam masuk Maghrib pukul 9 malam.

So, I changed the plan to 8 pm train. Ni direct train yang last untuk hari tu. Kalau tak, kena naik train yang transit bandar lain dan risiko terlepas connecting train tu tinggi. T_T

Fuhhh, I thought I was late, sebabnya train bertolak 8.09pm, I arrived at the train station about 8.05pm like that. Ramai pulak orang beratur beli tiket, jadi taknak terlepas train saya plan nak bayar dalam train nanti. Dah naik train bagai, rupanya delay. T_T Nak dekat 15 minit jugak. Dah la tak inform (jarang la jadi macam ni). Kalau tak, boleh turun train balik pergi beli tiket.

Then, masa atas train nak bayar tu, saya ada 2000kc sekeping tu jaaa. Konduktor kata dia taknak terima, sebab harga tiket cuma 100kc. Takde duit baki, kad pun tak terima, nak beli online pun disebabkan train ni dah lepas masa bertolaknya, method bayar online dah tutup. Saya dah cuba tanya the whole coach (this was so embarassing -_-') kalau ada duit pecah tapi semua kata takde. Ada seorang memang gigih seluk beg-beg dia, tapi ada duit kecil yang tak cukup sampai 2000kc. Sedih kat situ. Hohoooo. Konduktor pulak kata, kalau takde duit kecil, kena turun kat next stop. Sedih lagi. Haha

The Journey of A Risk-Taker to Scotland
Waiting for the train to move.

Dah turun train, alahai ditakdirkan pulak tu train station yang sangat kecil. Kaunter jual tiket pun dah tutup. Haha end up, saya naik train balik HK sebab dah takde train dari situ ke Prague. Ni pun mujur ada syiling sikit (tak sampai 100kc pun). Sampai-sampai je kat HK, terus beli tiket untuk next train. Train yang ni lah yang saya cakap kena transit tu, Pardubice nama bandarnya.

Masalah kat sini ialah connecting train tu bukan bawah Ceske Drahy (CD). CD ni ibarat public train dan connecting train pulak Leo Express (private company). Siap dah beli online dah tiket Leo Express ni. Unfortunately.....train delay. HAHAHA nangis la kau di situ. Geram dibuatnya konduktor CD ni mintak maaf macam selamba je. Kalau connecting train tu under CD, biasanya diorang tunggu. At least 8 orang affected dengan delayed train ni. Tu baru dalam koc saya, belum kira koc lain.

The Journey of A Risk-Taker to Scotland
Approaching midnight.

Since ramai yang senasib, saya tanya dua Czech girls ni, apa plan diorang nak ke Prague. Seorang nama Ana, seorang lagi Tra. Diorang kata tak tahu lagi, sebabnya teksi sangat mahal. End up, saya ikut diorang kejar train yang ada kat situ yang menghala ke arah Prague tapi tak lalu Prague. Sampai lah kami ke final destination - Kolin. Dalam train, kami berborak-borak, turn out both of them are pharmacists, graduated from my university. Although we never met, this was the only reason I followed their plan. Hanya sebab sama universiti.

Guess what, kalau Pardubice jaraknya 109km dari Prague, Kolin ni dalam 70km. We thought the taxi will be cheaper. End up, the basic rate was 1 500kc. Convert lah. HAHA. Nangis dalam hati.

Ana try call boyfriend nak minta ambilkan, dijadikan cerita, boyfriend dia tengah minum. Duh, it was not even weekend. Minum ni maksudnya alkohol, means obviously he cannot drive. Long story short, flatmate Ana yang datang pickup. Saya memang dengan rasa bersalah minta tumpang. Dapat sampai city center pun dah okay sangat.

And, the flatmate was a....guy. Adam. He came with his girlfriend to pick us up.

Tawakal. Fuh, I don't want to be stranded at Kolin, tak pernah sampai pun pekan ni. Train station pun dah nak tutup masa tu. Sepanjang perjalanan tu, I kept updating my location to few friends. Haaa, tahan la hati kena leter sikit T___T

The Journey of A Risk-Taker to Scotland
Kolin train station.

Kitorang sesat. Tak tahu nak kata kelakar ke scary ke. Adam salah masuk simpang kat highway dan the car was going away from route to Prague. Terus bukak GPS semua, and finally alhamdulillah, back on track. They sent me to I. P. Pavlova, kat sini ada direct bus to the airport. Rasa terhutang budi tapi Adam taknak duit apa-apa.

Thanks, anyway!

Moral of the story.
  1. I need to make sure I have small money / exact amount of money if I want to pay tickets on the train (in the future).
  2. Tebalkan muka untuk pinjam duit orang dan try bayar balik by topup or something easier.
  3. Jangan tidur sebelum perjalanan bila travel solo.
  4. Naik train awal! Be on time!
  5. Sebaik-baik rancangan kita, rancangan Allah lebih baik.

I learned my mistake.

Petai in Czech

September 6, 2016

Wohooo. Tengah unpacking luggage yang masih tak siap unpack, nampak gerangan satu plastik merah. Terus tersenyum sendiri.

Hai petai. Saya rasa awak sihat walaupun kepenatan awak travel sampai Hradec ni ha. Awak takde kawan-kawan tempatan taw, bertahanlah sorang-sorang. Stay strong and healthy. Nanti hari raya, tamatlah riwayat awak dalam perut saya. :p Kalau saya malas, awak kena survive taw. Jangan rosak okay. Haha.

Pelik kau Nina, cakap dengan petai.

I've been eating petai since I'm a child.

  1. Potong petai berpapan-papan kecil-kecil, sepapan ada 4-5 biji camtu.
  2. Rebus je sampai lembut.
  3. Keluarkan biji petai, letak dalam bekas.
  4. Isi air kosong dalam bekas.
  5. Tinggal semalaman.

Masalah besar bila makan petai ni ialah odor-effects. Baunya tak semua orang boleh tahan. So, pandai-pandai lah wangikan balik toilet tu yep. Nak sendawa, jauhkan diri dari orang lain.

Oh yea, I think we can just google about the benefits of petai. SINI dan SINI. Banyak jugak lah dari apa yang saya baca. :D Tapi, just eat moderately eh, rasanya petai ni pun takde orang makan every meal kan? :D Walaupun takde sangat scientific data pasal disadvantages dia, just be careful especially to those people with gout and kidney disease.

Petai ada kandungan purine yang tinggi - boleh sebab high uric acid. Well, kat sini pun boleh argue sama ada effects purine dari tumbuhan sama tak dengan animal products (daging, seafood etc). Honestly, I am not that sure but I suggest not to eat if you are not confident. Okay?

p/s - 4 am, lost to jet-lag fights. T_T
